Starlink Is Set to Launch in Pakistan within 6 months.

The PTA chairperson told the NA Standing Committee on IT that Starlink will be launched in Pakistan, and it is expected that it will be done within a 6-month timeframe. The NA Committee on IT raised that question about the Starlink license that was applied in 2022 and why it is not taken seriously and why no progress has been made.

The PTA chairperson replied that almost 90% of Starlink's work has been done, and discussions with the Space Regulatory Authority are 90% complete.  The NA Committee raised the issue of data privacy, and the PTA chairperson made sure they would work more in that area, and the PTA chairperson also highlighted that India has invested US 13 billion dollars in their fiber to improve their internet and infrastructure, while Pakistan is facing a lack of investment, which is one of the reasons for routine internet issues.
